Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave

Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave is located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, and some 320 km /200 miles/ south of Bangkok. Or you can reach Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave from the village of Bang Pu in a one-hour walk. But be careful, as the path is uphill to the cave entrance and there are swamps with mosquitoes and other insects flying around them.

The cave was discovered accidentally in 1800 by Phraya Nakhon, the ruler of Nakhon Sri Thammarat. The cave actually is not an ordinary cave as the roof collapsed and only the walls has remained which formed interesting cave-like formation. This allowed different plants to grow inside as there is much light. And lastly, visiting Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave is a must do if you are somewhere around and like nature.
