Chiang Dao National Park
Chiang Dao national park, also known as Pha Daeng national park, was announced as national park of Thailand in 2000. Located in Chiang Mai province, Chiang Dao national park covers 1120 square kilometers /440 square miles/ and also like Doi Inthanon national park, the terrain is mountainous. During the rainy season in August water streams grow bigger and can cause severe damage.
The soil in the Chiang Dao national park is fertile and flora and fauna is very rich in species. One of the most interesting inhabitants of the park are langur, palm civet, chipmunk, porcupine and many more. Other attracting sights in the park are Pang Thong waterfall, Sri Sangwan waterfall, Tab Tao cave, Crab cave and others. For more detailed information:
