Lopburi River
Lopburi river is located in the central plain of Thailand and is about 100km /60 miles/ in length. The river is tributary of the Chao Phraya river and enters it at the town of Ayutthaya together with the river Pa Sak. In ancient times Lopburi river was used as Lopburi’s city moat. The town of Lop Buri is a rice-collecting centre in Central Thailand. The area around the banks of is fertile and has very good conditions for rice, maize, cotton as well as popular fishing area. In the waters of Lopburi river you can see the enormous catfish with length of more than 50 centimeters /20 inches/.
